I am a recent graduate of the University of Winnipeg, in Manitoba, Canada. I took my four-year honors degree in English with a minor in Film Studies. I finished with a GPA of 4.34.
I have been writing professionally since I was 18 and worked as an editorial columnist for the Winnipeg Sun. I also wrote my first produced screenplay in that year. Since then I have been writing articles for magazines and websites, and working as an editor on several large projects, such as a book of short fiction (At the Gates: Tales From the Short Road, Larkuma: 2003). I have also done copywriting and advertising writing for small businesses, and SEO writing from websites such as Wetleads.com.
My expertise is in creative writing: generating ideas, telling stories, and developing concepts. This also involves having the ability to excel at editing and to create informational material that is clear, effective, and pleasing. My whole life, I have been able to see how and why a piece of writing sounds good, feels good, and is able to connect deeply with the people who read it. All writing, even the most technical document, must be compelling. I specialize in creating compelling writing. I can take anything, from a concept to a nearly finished piece, and make it into something that I know will appeal to, and attract readers. My past successes speak for themselves; I am very good at what I do.
